People involved in the life of the museum

Beyond the individuals involved in creating the museum, who were often local public figures, members of scientific societies, scholars, or recognized dignitaries, the institution has benefited since its opening from the involvement and generosity of many anonymous individuals.
Amateurs, collectors, curious minds, and travelers, often with ties to the city of Toulouse or the region and eager to share their collections with the public, contribute to the enrichment, documentation, and life of the collections.
Legal entities such as specialist suppliers, galleries, menageries, circuses, and zoos have also contributed to the growth of the collections, either through purchases or donations.
